This divesite is named after the tiny little black beach on the corner of the old harbor in Puerto del Carmen. It also goes by the name of “Casa Chucu – House of the rays”, because the area is home to rays of all shapes and sizes, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
There’s a little fumbling on the entry point but once past, this dive site offers beautiful hang overs and unearthly rock shelters for the divers to explore. Following the Harbour wall will take you steadily down to the end of the reef. Here there is some beautiful topography in rock formation and if your lucky, a school of large groupers which are always happy to come over for a good look at us!
A maximum depth of 39m and with loads to see in the shallows, this site is brilliant for open water and advanced divers alike.
