The Los Ancones reef, is a typical northern reef: a natural staircase brings you to a small reef at about 12m depth.

You have all the time you need to have a look for sponges, fish, nudibranchs etc. Loads of nosy fish accompany you. There is a seagrass meadow, which is rare in Lanzarote. Its usually filled with a lot of marine life. You will also find shoals of fish and there is a good chance to see angelsharks and rays as well.

The max. depth is 20m, which makes it a great divesite for Open Water Divers, photographers and divers who don´t want to go to deep. This divesite is especially nice for photographers since the seagrass meadow sets a beautiful scene and since it is not too deep you have a bunch of natural light to brighten up your pictures.

Due to the fact that this site is rarely dived you have an abundance of marine life and they are very curious about us divers.
