Playa Coloradas
Las Coloradas looks like a long bridge (puente) across the sea bed that lies at around 16 meters depth.

From the dropping point, you can dive in either direction, keeping the ´wall´ on either your left or right side. The topography of the rock formations were sculpted by the lava flows that were once dominant on the island, making it a really popular place for morays and shrimps to hideout!

There are marvelous anemones and a break through as well, which gives you great opportunities for pictures.

Being quite a shallow boat dive with a maximum of only 18m, makes Las Coloradas an excellent dive for both experienced divers and beginners.

Atlantic Museum

The Atlantic Museum is the first underwater art museum in Europe. It is situated in front of the coast in Playa Blanca and can be accessed only with a boat.

You descend on a safety buoy, which makes it accessible for beginners as well. The guide will take you along a given route, which leads you to a max. depth of 17m in approx. 45min. You will see a large artificial reef formed by sculptures made with neutral pH concrete that over time encourages a variety of life to grow on them. Every statue has its own story to tell and is symbolic of a topical commentary on society today. Our specially trained Eco Dive Guides will give you further details to the meaning of the different statues.

Atlantic Museum

It is not allowed to touch the statues, as they are covered already in marine life. Jason de Caires Taylor, the artist who built this museum, wants to highlight the bond between art and nature. His intention is to make visitors more aware of the importance of the sea and all of its natural resources.

The Atlantic Museum offers not only statues but also a lot of marine life. Triggerfish, angelsharks and big shoals of fish live in the area surrounding the dive site.

Seta

Seta is located between the dive sites Fariones and La Pared in the last quarter of the Playa Grande – the “Big Beach” in Puerto Del Carmen. This dive site is named after the mushroom shaped rock formed by the lava, also known as Seta (Spanish word for mushroom).

You can access the dive site from the beach or the boat. Either following a sand slope down to the reef or dropping down the buoy line, down onto the reef next to the mushroom rock, we begin by exploring the many crevices along the wall. Keep your eyes peeled along the wall, the sand bed, above the wall and out into the blue, here is where you will find angelsharks, rays, barracuda and trumpet fish – all common in this area. Take the opportunity to explore underneath the ledges which are formed by the wall. You can see much of the fauna that occupies Lanzarote’s waters; cloaked anemone crabs, slipper lobster, candy striped flatworms and leopard sea slugs are often spotted here.

This reef wall around the seta rock is a very beautiful wall. Due to its location and access there are not so many divers and we can usually look forward to being the only dive group on the site.

With a maximum depth of 40 metres, this dive is suitable for Advanced Open Water dives (or equivalent) and above. As there can be strong currents along the reef wall, it is for divers with a min. of 40 dives only.

Costa Teguise reef

The Reef of Costa Teguise offers an abundance of marine life. Here we can find loads of nooks, crannies and caves for advanced divers to explore. You will likely find groupers, red hogfish, triggerfish, white breams and tree corals.

The dive will be done from a boat and you will find the reef about 500 meters outside of Playa Jabllilo, which is why we need a boat 🙂 . Due to the amazing length of the reef there is always something new for you to explore. Because of the rarety of divers at this divesite, we find that the fishes are still very eager to connect to us divers.

Often times we have good chances of spotting rays and angelsharks alike.
